
The NCC, which in a statement yesterday said Nigeria would join the rest of the global community to mark the World Consumer’s Right day on March 15, informed that consistent campaigns on the Do-Not-Disturb (DND) initiative had enabled about 22,487,849 subscribers, as at December 2019, to block unsolicited text messages and telemarketing activities from telecommunications operators through the Value Added Service (VAS) platform.
Danbatta promised: “We will abide by all the tenets of consumer rights in our day to day activities at the NCC.”
