The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, announced earlier today that he has tested positive for coronavirus and he is self-isolating.
“I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate” he tweeted on Monday evening.

While some argue that he got it from meeting with the popular artiste, Davido, others argue that the governor did not take necessary precautions. Below are some reactions to this news:
Davido could have hugged and shook Seyi Makinde repeatedly and still not be infected with coronavirus. People need to calm down and stop the hateful and unnecessary comments.

Thousands of PDP supporters who had contact with him during the rally won’t sleep well tonight & for the next few days.

Where Seyi Makinde got the virus from hasn’t been confirmed.
It could be from the Governor’s meeting, PDP Rally or his recent meeting with Davido.Y’all should calm down with the blame game and rumors. What we need now is a way forward not unnecessary accusation.
