Image of INEC 2020 Ondo election banner. Photo: INECNIGERIALess than 48 hours to the Edo State governorship election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the distribution of sensitive electoral materials for the exercise.
The Guardian learned yesterday that the sensitive materials have arrived Benin City and have been kept in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), awaiting distribution to all the polling units in the 18 local government areas tomorrow.
There is also heavy security presence comprising officials of the Nigeria Army, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), among others.
