As part of efforts to cater for the increasing number of passengers on its waterways, the Lagos State government has procured and installed new engines for some of its boats to ensure optimal service delivery.
Commending Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration for its commitment to ensuring intermodal transportation system for the state and particular attention to improving water transportation, the Managing Director, Lagos Ferry Services (LAGFERRY), Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun, said the new engines would improve the speed of the 60-max capacity boats, ensure optimum performance and comfortability of the passengers.
Balogun added that the agency would soon commence commercial operation to routes like Epe, Badagry, and Ibeju Lekki as it explored the endless possibilities of the inland waterways in Lagos.
