The wife of renowned Lagos lawyer, Mrs. Funmi Falana, has declared the President Muhammadu Buhari government a failure for its inability to provide security in the country.

Falana, who said that no one envisaged that the current government could not provide security for the people, asked Buhari and his team to resign if they could not secure the country.

The lawyer and gender activist stated this at the weekend after donating food and other items to the Erelu Angela Children’s Home, Iyin Ekiti in Irepodun Ifelodun Council of the state.

She noted that the government seemed helpless in the face of insecurity, occasioned by the activities of terrorists and other bandits.

Her words: “I want to use this opportunity to tell the government that there is need to do something about the security of the citizens. A government that is unable to guarantee the security of the citizens is a failed government.”

On why she always celebrates new year with the children of the orphanage, Falana said it was a way of expressing love and care for the less-privileged.

“We also want to let them know that by the circumstance of their birth, they are not less important than their contemporaries in privileged homes. I want to give them the love they need and deserve.”

“While people go to offer gift to their loved ones, we believe that these are the people that really need it,” she said.
