President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed condolences to his Daura kinsmen over the demise of Mairo Daura, the wife of the emir’s elder brother.

In a condolence message yesterday, Buhari described the passing as an irreparable loss.

“I remember with absolute admiration the motherly role played by the deceased throughout Daura community and beyond. I am deeply shocked to learn of her demise.

“On behalf of the government, the people and myself, I extend deep condolences to the royal family, particularly the Emir, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk, and the people of Daura,” he stated.

He prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
