INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, in a statement, yesterday, advised job-seekers to treat such letters as a scam.
Okoye said a disclaimer was necessary, due to activities of fake employment merchants and racketeers, who open fake employment websites and issue fake employment letters purporting to be acting on behalf of the commission.
He recalled that the commission had, on two occasions, informed the public that recruitment exercise had been suspended.
Okoye insisted the INEC recruitment portal was no longer active and was shut down the moment the commission suspended its recruitment exercise.
