
Host, Zone Three, has won the 2016 National Association of Seadogs (NAS) Games, which featured participants from across the country in Benin, Edo State.
The annual NAS Game, which afforded the participants the opportunity to truly experience the unifying power and essence of sports and games, lived up to its billings with members from all the seven zones of the federation competing for medals in various sports, including lawn tennis, table tennis, football, snooker, scrabble, draught and sprints.
At the end of the two-day event, Zone Three topped the medals table with six gold, four silver and four bronze medals. It was followed closely by Zone Four with four gold, five silver and three bronze medals, while Zone Six with one gold, two silver and two bronze medals came third.
With one gold, two silver and one bronze medal, Zone Seven settled for the fourth position, while Zone Five won only one bronze medal to end in the fifth position.
National President of the Association, Prince Ifeanyi Onochie, in his remarks at the prize presentation, explained the importance of the annual games, which he said went beyond bonding, unwinding and having fun.
