The United Kingdom-based Nigerian-born prime property agent and Managing Director and Founder of Daniel Ford International, Yemi Edun, is again in the news for all the good reasons.

The top property maestro, who recently clocked 50 years old, which was stylishly marked with pomp and panache amongst his inner cycle, friends and family aboard the Silver Surgeon Boat on October 10 in London, has added another feather to his glittering cap after being named in the Powerlist 2022.

The Powerlist ranks the most influential Black people in the UK. The list, which is voted for by an independent panel of judges, seeks to showcase black role models to young people. It is an award that has seen the likes of Anthony Joshua, Chi-Chi Nwanoku, Idris Elba, Stormzy and Raheem Sterling on the list in previous years.

Launched in 2007, it honours Black people from a range of industries including tech, business, sports, science and the arts.

Speaking after being listed among the awarded, Yemi Edun said he was honoured to make the Powerlist 2022. It is the second time the Nigerian will be making the Powerlist.

“I am honoured and humbled to be included for the second year running in the Powerlist 2022 and recognised this time for not just my work in the property industry but also in charity,” he said.

“The pandemic has brought about deep introspection in all our hearts and caused us to change the way we approach life, and we’ve been pleased to contribute our little quota to this. All the men and women on the list this year are truly inspiring and I feel blessed to be named alongside them again,” added Yemi Edun.

Topping the Powerlist for 2022 is Corporate Vice President and Chief Digital Officer of Microsoft US, Jacky Wright. Born in Tottenham, Jacky has also worked for the likes of BP and General Electric.

Manchester United and England forward Michael Rashford came in second followed by Anne Mensah, Vice-president of Content UK, Netflix.
