Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has approved the appointment of Henry Ikhile as the Auditor-General (Local Government) in the state.

In an appointment letter signed by the Head of Service, Mrs. Gladys Idahor, the appointment took effect from June 1, 2016.
Until his new appointment, Ikhile, who joined the State Public Service in 1982 was Director, Office of the Auditor-General (Local Government).

A 1989 Graduate of Accounting from the University of Benin, Ikhile is a Certified member of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

A native of Eme-Ora in Owan West Local Government Area of the State, Ikhile is married with six children.
