In view of natural and man-made disasters, Jolaolu Fakoya and Kunle Ahmed, both chief executives of AXA Mansard Insurance, have called on Nigerians to stop overlooking insurance, especially the retail products that cover accidental death, medical expenses and disability.
Speaking on how to deepen insurance penetration in the country, Ahmed said its new product, called ‘No Yawa’ will attract more Nigerians in the sector.
According to him, the new offering covers accidental death, medical expenses and disability (total, partial or temporary), aside from providing coverage for a 24-hour accident at the home, office or any social gathering.
Speaking on the development, Chief Actuary, Jolaolu Fakoya, said the new product aims at giving customers the confidence to achieve their dreams without fears or worries, adding that regardless of the kind of injury suffered, ‘No Yawa’ provides the coverage to ensure that customers recover without the hassles of financial burden.
Ahmed said: “Accidents are realities of life and at AXA Mansard, we care about people and what matters to them. This has driven us to develop this product to alleviate some of the financial burden arising from accidents.”
