Ndoma-Egba immortalises late wife, Amaka
Former Senate Leader and ex-Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba, has launched Victor and Amaka Ndoma-Egba Foundation in memory of his wife, Amaka Ndoma-Egba.
Ndoma-Egba disclosed this during the maiden edition of Amaka Ndoma-Egba Memorial Lecture series and the unveiling of the Foundation, with the theme: ‘Leadership, Legacy and Change,’ in Abuja. He said it was exactly one year his wife died but she has continued to be in the lives of dear ones left behind.
He said: “My wife was a builder of human beings, she built more human beings than structures. In our house, nobody is called house girl or boy. Everyone who entered our house became part of the family and all of them were graduates in the end.
“Amaka was very full of life. But in spite of that, she died suddenly, and I know we could do something to ensure that the names on this format get the kind of indication Amaka wished for them whether I’m alive or dead and the only way to do so is to institutionalise the support.”
