It was learnt that those released were conveyed in a commercial vehicle from the Ondo State border and dropped at Sagamu by their captors from where they trekked several kilometres through the bush to the main road.

They were taken to the Lagos State General hospital for medical treatment. Amongst those kidnapped were one Engineer Badejo Obafemi, Mr. Alfred Bucknor (Pharmacist), one Mr. Kamara Ibrahim, and others.

It was jubilation galore for families of the abductees to be finally reunited with their families, as some of the families could not but cry tears of joy as they kept thanking God for reuniting them back to their loved ones.

When contacted, the Ondo State Police (PRO), confirmed the victims’ release.

The Police PRO said he could not confirm if the abductees’ relations paid any ransom to the bandits to facilitate their release.
