Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has declared that his administration is simply building on the developmental foundation of former Governor Rabi’u Kwankwaso.

Amid the perceived scuffle between the two erstwhile political allies, Ganduje shocked the public when he confessed that he and the leadership of Kwankwasiyya movement were the architects of modern Kano development.

Although, Ganduje expressed commitment to settle the long political dispute with the former governor, yesterday’s rain of applause on Kwankwaso was perhaps to mock Senator Ibrahim Shekarau’s recent political romance with the Kwankwasiyya leader.

Ganduje spoke at a stakeholders’ meeting with leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 44 local councils and state leadership, where he briefed the party leaders on the outcome of the appeal court judgment.

Narrating how people were amazed at the level of development in the state, particularly those who were not in the state for a long time, Ganduje said: “In case you are not aware, those responsible for the new face of the state are Kwankwaso and Ganduje.”

The governor assured that his administration would continue to sustain developmental projects and policies for the development of the state, at all levels of government.
