Gombe State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man, Tukur Mohammed for allegedly raping a four-year old toddler at Sirankiyo quarters bye-pass in Gombe.
    
Umar was said to have on March 24 at about 7:00p.m. lured the toddler to an uncompleted building  and raped her .
     
The State Commissioner of Police, Babatunde Ishola Babaita, who confirmed the incident to newsmen yesterday, said both  the suspect and victim were taken to specialist hospital for medical examination.
   
He disclosed that the suspect confessed to the crime and will immediately be charged to court for prosecution.
THE commissioner also said the trio of 27-year- old Yale Saleh, Baba Muhammadu, 24 and Aminu Salisu, 22, all of Dinawa village in Kwami Local Council at about 1:30p.m. Wednesday were arrested for being in possession of a human head.
 
“During preliminary investigation, suspects confessed that they dug the grave and cut off the head of one Abdullahi Mohammed buried two previous days at the village cemetery.
 
“The suspects further confessed to have dug the grave of a deceased woman,whose  name is yet unknown at the same Dinawa village cemetery and cut off her head.
  
“Effort is on to recover the second head,” he explained, adding that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation and prosecution,” he said.  

IN another development, the police boss hinted that 20-year-old Aliyu Musa Nagangarawa of Daban-Magarya village in Balanga Local Council  last week stabbed his cousin, Dahiru Muktar of same age to death after an argument over a trouser, adding that the suspect had confessed to the crime.
