
Wike, who made his position known in Minna, while addressing PDP members at the party’s secretariat, yesterday, disclosed that since he joined the PDP in 1998, he has remained in the party, adding that the PDP has given him everything in life.
“Therefore, I will make sure that the party stands tall before other political parties in the next elections,” Wike said
According to him, he was in Niger State to see party members personally, and let them know that he was contesting for the office of President in the 2023 general elections.
He advised stakeholders and party members in the state to work together to ensure that PDP wins elections at all levels in the state.
Earlier, the PDP Chairman, Niger State, Tanko Beji, informed Wike that the state chapter of the party remained grateful to him for his support when the party was in crisis.
Beji explained that Wike stood by them during the trying times, noting that the time had come for pay back.
He maintained that the state PDP was more united than before, pointing out that stakeholders have agreed to work together to ensure the party’s success in the 2023 general elections.
“We have come a long way, we have suffered enough, and we don’t want to suffer any more,” Beji said.
