Amaechi stated this when he led a delegation to the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta, the state capital, to campaign for his presidential ambition on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The minister urged the state’s citizens to ignore his critics and consider his friendship with the former president and former governors of the state, including Olusegun Osoba, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and even the current governor, Dapo Abiodun, to vote for him.
Amaechi, while appealing to the people to vote for him despite having Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, a man from the state in the race, said that he is 56, young and energetic to govern Nigeria.
He restated that he won’t be a president of the South-South region, South-East, South-West or North, but a president of Nigeria, promising that he would include women in his government if elected as the president.
