Just five weeks after dumping the All Progressives Congress (APC), Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, has been declared winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election for Ningi state constituency.

Suleiman, who defected to PDP on April 18, 2022, was elected unopposed during the primary. He garnered all the 21 votes cast.

But the Deputy Speaker, Danlami Kawule, lost his bid to contest the Bauchi Central seat at the House of Representatives to Aminu Garu.
