COOTH spends N12.1 million on power supply monthly, says CMD

Chief Medical Director, (CMD), Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, in Anambra State, Joe Akabuike, has disclosed that the establishment spends N12.1 million monthly on the power supply.

The disclosure was made, yesterday, when Akabuike received the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, who was on a tour of health facilities in the state.

Akabuike, while informing the commissioner that they had invested heavily in power supply, noted that electricity is critical to the hospital’s operations.

The CMD commended Governor Charles Soludo’s administration in its efforts toward addressing the hospital’s challenges and also ensuring affordability and accessibility to quality healthcare in the state.
