The newly installed president of the Rotary Club of Lagos Central, Vincent Anwuzia Adubor, has pledged to commit more resources to its host community development through the rehabilitation of roads and sinking of boreholes for Lagos Island residents.

In a speech during his investiture as the 35th president of the club and induction of the 2016-2017 board of directors, Adubor further pledged to impact positively on the destitute children, whose parents find it difficult to buy their textbooks, while also equipping their school libraries.

“We will go outside the community where our club is situated to where I live and carry out some road projects which would be my star project.“We have been supporting Island Maternity every year by welcoming the first baby of the year with gifts, which we would still do and also donate some equipment to Massey Hospital,” he said.

Adubor who said though he was reluctant at first to accept the club’s leadership because he is an employee in an organization, he is committed to making a mark. “Rotarians are supposed to be self-employed to be able to attend to so many activities. The club, however, decided that I have stayed enough as just a Rotarian with no serious commitment. I had no option than to accept the challenge.”
