Nigerian students have been charged to be very worthy inspiration to others, by positively impacting them to make the society a better place to live.

The charge was made by an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Idi-Araba, Dr Olufisayo Temitayo Aribaba. He said positive and constructive mechanism must be formulated for meaningful success.

Aribaba, who was chairman at the 2021/2022 prize-giving ceremony of Olive House Academy, Orimerunmu, enjoined schools, as well as parents and guardians, to bring out the best in their students, rather than breeding thugs, miscreants and societal misfits to ensure accelerated development.

He pleaded for cooperation from all concerned to bring out the best in children.

He also enjoined top government officials and political functionaries to provide the needed enabling environment for student and youths to thrive, while warning students against bad company and associations.

Aribaba warned that bad peers not only destroy ones future, but can be very suicidal. He said since there is no gain without pains, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, if they painstakingly adhere to positive contributions from their parents.

In their submissions at the event, the Presbyter, Ereko Methodist Cathedral, Ade Ademilua; the proprietress, Mrs. Oluremi Thompson, and veteran media and public relations expert, Tola Noibi, enjoined the students to be good ambassadors of the school.

Outgoing senior prefects of the school, Mr. Adeyemi Samuel and Happiness Ayanlowo, appreciated the academic and moral contributions of the school to their growth and development.

They expressed their gratitudes not only to the visioner of the school, but the entire academic community for effectively moulding them.
