Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, have been assured of massive support from the Niger Delta region ahead of the 2023 elections.

A member of the House of Representatives and PDP governorship aspirant in Rivers State, Farah Dagogo, gave the assurance in Port Harcourt, yesterday.

Dagogo said plan has been concluded for the march, which is already at an advanced stage, and will be held in coming days across Niger Delta states to galvanise people and “prove to naysayers that the region is for the PDP.”

He explained: “Let no one be deceived. Conducting elections in Nigeria has metamorphosed. Voting power is with the people. No one can order anyone around on who to vote or not, no matter how highly placed, because the people, with their PVCs and votes, are the deciders.

“PDP has been true and fair to our people. It was by means of this party that we clinched the presidency through our son, Goodluck Jonathan, among several other benefits.”

“Atiku will win, and it is in the interest of those who do not want to be left behind to board or be cast in to the dustbin of political history.”
