Media Justice Nigeria has congratulated the board and management of Raypower 100FM radio station, an arm of DAAR Communications Limited, as it marks its 28th anniversary of continuous radio broadcasting and as the first privately owned radio station in Nigeria.

In a statement, MJN Director, Anote Ajeluorou, said: “This is a commendable milestone of resilience and staying power in a country, where businesses hardly live beyond their first decade of existence.

“In spite of a harsh economic operating environment, Raypower 100.5 FM has weathered various storms to attain its pioneering role as a radio station of choice.

“Media Justice Nigeria salutes Raypower 100FM and wishes it more years of corporate existence to continue broadcasting quality news and programming that impact society and help advance Nigeria’s democratic space.

“It must be noted that the introduction of Raypower 100FM into the Nigerian radio broadcast ecosystem not only expanded the space but also offered Nigerians alternative choice and voice away from the old order.”
