Nwosu said victory in the opening game would put the girls in good stead as they fight to win the cadet championship for the first time.He urged the Flamingoes, whom he described as young and skillful players, not to be apprehensive against any team in the championship, saying all participating countries have equal chances of winning the tournament.
The former Golden Eaglets manager noted that the team have all it takes to fly high in Jordan if the girls showed resilience and commitment to fight in their games.
“The Flamingoes need to give their best in Jordan. They should understand that it is a game of 11 to 11 players. Flamingoes’ coach need to use every tactics at his disposal to beat Brazil.
“Winning the opening game would give the team the needed confidence to go far in the tournament. I believe the team have skillful, talented young girls that can make Nigerians proud in the World Cup. They need encouragement and prayers to succeed,’’ he said.A total of 16 countries will battle for honours in the three Jordanian cities of Amman, Irbid and Al Zarqa.
