The Chairman of Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Basil Ejidike, has apologised to aggrieved members of the party, urging them to team up with the party to make lasting impact in coming elections.

Ejidike noted that party members stand in better stead to make meaningful contributions to growth and development of the party from inside, stressing that APC has a mandate to deliver its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in 2023 general elections.

The apology and reconciliatory moves are anchored against the backdrop of factionalisation of the party in the state along the camps of the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, and the Managing Director of Nigeria Inland Waterway Agency, Chief George Moghalu, on the one hand, and the party’s supposed flag-bearer in 2021 governorship election, Andy Uba, on the other hand.

Ejidike, who expressed sadness over the break-up into camps in the party at the APC State Secretariat, Awka, at the weekend, hinted that he had, in his personal capacity, reached out to the aggrieved persons, adding that he needed to make the public pronouncement for them to know his disposition for peace in the party.
