As 2023 general elections and political campaigns approach, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the backing of a group, Association of Private Schools Teachers for Bola Tinubu Presidency 2023.

Chairman of the Association, Mr. Oluwole Atobalo at a media briefing in Lagos, declared their support for Tinubu/Shettima Presidency as well as the second term bid of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Atobalo said: “Having considered the three major presidential aspirants, competence, performance as well as antecedents in governance, achievement, ability to put a good team together that can salvage this country because leadership is not a one man show, Asiwaju has it.

“Tinubu has the ability to assemble men and women of influence whether within the nation or outside the country. In view of these and beyond, our association decided to support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for 2023 presidential election.”

In the same vein, the association also throws its weight behind the second term bid of Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat because of the administration’s infrastructural development being witnessed across the state and performance in other key sectors of the economy.

“That Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the APC flagbearer has intensified our effort to ensure that he wins the office. We are aware of his achievements in Lagos in times past and contributions to modern Lagos. We are not unaware of his influence and input in national issues, that has given us impetus to give him necessary support to win the presidential election next year because we are convinced he won’t disappoint the citizenry. Tinubu knows the enormity of what’s at stake in the country now,” the group said.

On the controversial issue of the Muslim Muslim ticket, the association urged Nigerians to look beyond religion and pick competence, achievement, adding that Tinubu is not a religious bigot.
