The Convener, Speaking Fingers Network, Treasures Uchegbu, appreciated the monarch for his kind gesture and thanked him for supporting the hearing impaired persons.
“It is, indeed, beyond words and rhetoric. It is a huge investment towards the advancement of sign language and possibilities of productive participation of both our deaf community and persons with disabilities, as a whole,” she said.
Uchegbu advised parents and stakeholders to learn sign language as “it is important for understanding of their kids and wards.”
