Lagos State government has engaged stakeholders in Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) for the smooth execution of a network of five major roads in the Abaranje axis.

The state’s Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tayo Bamgbose-Martins, who spoke at the stakeholders’ meeting on the projects, at the weekend, said that all hands must be on deck for the successful execution of the projects, which include Olaiya, Ajibola Hassan, Alhaji Mustapha, Olu Adeyanju and Rabiatu Ogedengbe road networks.

Bamgbose-Martins, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Oluwole Sotire, said the construction of several network of roads within the council would ease connectivity among communities in the axis and enhance transportation.
MEANWHILE, the state has urged citizens to keep demanding accountability from officials, as their input mandates them to work hard for the state’s development.

It also renewed its determination to train youths for the future.

This was said at the launch of the state’s first Demographic Dividend Roadmap and Estimation Profile, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and others.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Planning and Budget, Aare Sodade, said the launch of the roadmap and profile, which is in line with international best practices, would provide the best operational management services in ensuring that human capital, growth and development are the focus of socio-economic plans, programmes and project.
