Disturbed by the high rate of collapsed marriages and its huge effect on the society, the Lighthouse Christian Outreach Centre, has concluded plans to hold a family life conference to address some burning issues in the area of family.

The Founder of the church, Ayo Daniel, in a statement, said that the conference, which is meant for singles, married, separated, divorced and widowed, would be yesterday and today November 13, at the church headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos State.

His words: “There are now rising questions about the definition of a family and it is no longer a fallacy that one out of every two marriages contracted in our today’s culture usually end up in divorce.

“There are overwhelming impacts of dysfunctional families like juvenile delinquents, crimes, violence and addictions, because leadership is absent in the families. We now have cases of two generational men being housed in the same correctional facility.

“This conference will also identify those needing therapy interventions and needed line of reconciliation will be provided.

If we get it right in the smaller unit of the family, we will be better equipped to have stable family in the larger family (nation and society).

“Our FamilyLife Conferences are aimed at furnishing individuals with life-enriching resources to achieve stable families in the society.”
