Vice Chairman of the Management Board of the Advent Cable Network Nigeria (ACNN) and the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Niger Delta and Bishop of the Diocese of Ikwerre, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Blessing C. Enyindah, was among eminent Rivers State sons and daughters honoured by the state government with the award of Distinguished Service Star Of Rivers State (DSSRS), the second highest award of the state held on December 3, 2022.

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Port Harcourt conferred the award on him. Those who know the Archbishop very well spoke glowingly about him.

According to them: “He is a true son of the state whose services were first noticed when he served as the travelling secretary of the Scripture Union (SU), Nigeria in Port Harcourt Area, covering the Old Rivers State (now Rivers and Bayelsa states) and Regional Coordinator comprising the Old Uyo Region (Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River and Rivers states). And now, as the Bishop of the Diocese of Ikwerre and Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Niger Delta, many Christians in Rivers State and beyond today owe their Christian faith to the evangelistic activities of the Archbishop. He is respected as a humble, dynamic, consistent and faithful Christian leader whose works have impacted on the people of the state.”

Archbishop Enyindah was commended for his uncompromising stand on the truth and Christian values.
