• As kidnappers demand N10m
The Plateau State Police Command has said its men are working hard to rescue kidnapped NTA reporter and three others, who were abducted on Tuesday evening, along Bauchi/Jos Highway.
According to the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Alfred Alabo, efforts are on, to ensure the victims are released unharmed.
Alabo solicited the cooperation of the citizens to ensure smooth operations.
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers picked the Jos reporter of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Abdulwahab Babankanti and three of his friends along the Highway, while on transit from Bauchi to Jos, Plateau State.
It was gathered from a family source that, Babankanti and three others were abducted in Toro community of Bauchi State.
The family source who spoke on condition of anonymity said: “We got to know of their abduction, when the kidnappers called to confirm that they kidnapped them.”
He further disclosed that the kidnappers have so far placed a N10 million ransom on the reporter.
According to him, there has been no contact again, putting the family in total suspense.
