NOLLYWOOD actor, Desmond Elliot, and other elected assembly candidates to the Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday collected their Certificate of Return.

They won election into the Lagos State House of Assembly on Saturday, April 11, 2015 with Elliot representing Surulere Constituency 1.

Upon receiving the certificate from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the excited politician took to Twitter: ‘Your boy with the certificate of return..#Godwin #HumbledbyHismercy to Him be the glory, honour and adoration.’

However, Omotayo Oduntan, elected for Constituency 02, Alimosho Local Government, whose victory at the April 11, poll is being challenged in the election tribunal by the PDP candidate, Fatai Owolabi was absent at the presentation with unconfirmed sources saying that she (Oduntan) travelled outside the country for medical attention.

The PDP candidate, Owolabi had claimed that there were discrepancies at the poll where about 70 percent shows he won the election, were brought to the notice of the returning officer, with a petition already sent to INEC calling for the cancellation of the result and filling a case at the election tribunal.
