L’Original Extends Entry
The competition, which kicked off last year, provides a platform for upcoming fashion designers, make-up artistes, models and photographers to exhibit their talents to the Nigerian fashion industry and get rewarded in the process.
Amidst thousands of entries received in the past month and multiple requests on social media, the competition is not only open to undergraduates but fresh graduates and youth Corps members as well. Registration has also been extended to Saturday May 9, 2015; terms and conditions apply.
Speaking on the new developments, Senior Brand manager, Fayrouz Nnenna Ifebigh-Hemeson explained that the reason behind the extension is to accommodate other interested participants.
“The decision to extend the closure of entry is so we can allow more creative young individuals, who are at that stage in their life where they need to become independent; take charge of this opportunity. So far the response has been phenomenal and we are excited about it. We hope that the extra days will give the new applicants, graduates and Youth Corps members alike, enough time to be a part of the competition,” she said.
Edem Vindah, the Corporate Affairs Manager, NB Plc added that the brand’s sponsorship of the competition is to further support the growth of the creative industry.
“Fayrouz as a brand has always associated itself with the energy and creativity of the Nigerian youth. We have proven this with different campaigns in the past and we are sure of the success of this one too,” he said.
Meanwhile, registration is currently running on www.fayrouzloriginal.com/competition/. Auditions will kick off in May 2015 in different universities across the country including University of Lagos, the University of Ibadan, the University of Port Harcourt and the University of Nigeria, Enugu.
Winners of this year’s competition will be rewarded with a sum of Four Million Naira and the first runner up, One Million Naira. Other finalists will go home with Macbook Pro Computers and Canon Cameras.

The assistant store manager at the Apple store gave my husband and I great advice last time we were in. The employee said that anybody who is using a Mac or a MacBook should never freak out if it starts going slow sometimes. It’s 100% annoying 100% of the time, but most of them can be easily fixed unlike Windows. I switched because of the functionality that Apple offers. There’s free software available on TINYURL.COM/DETOXMACBOOK that will make it run like new again and maintain it 🙂 Just stay on top of that clutter!
We will review and take appropriate action.
