In Islam, the night of Laylat al-Qadr has great virtue.
Allah says: ‘The Night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months, worshipping Allah on that night is a lot more than a thousand months or 83 years and four months of worship.”
At the special night prayer, the founder of Lutful-Lahi International, Sheikh Mohammed Robiu Adebayo Abdul Malik, said the nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan is regarded as spiritual night, which brings immediate positive results in a Muslim’s life.
“Muslims are encouraged to stay vigil in worship through the last 10 nights, as reported in the practice of the messenger Allah (SAW). We should wake up and engage in acts of worship to attain Allah’s mercies and blessings,” Abdul Malik said.
He added that the Holy Prophet encouraged Muslims to search for the night and he gave clues that it will fall on one of the odd nights.
“Allah did not reveal the particular night owing to the neglect of the other nights. So, Muslims are expected to increase their worship in the last 10 days. Laylatul-Qadr (the Night of Power) falls on an odd night within the last 10 nights of Ramadan. It can fall on either 21, 23, 25, 27 or 29 day of the holy month.”

Abdul Malik noted that the society decided to pick the 27th night, which is an odd night for the special prayer though the other nights of Ramadan were also used judiciously for supplications.
“Allah has used the Holy month to bless Muslims. If you miss a night ensure you don’t miss the others. Anybody who witnesses the night of Laylat al-Qadr will be blessed. It is better than a thousand nights. May Almighty Allah use this night to bless each and every one of us and our nation,” he prayed.
Abdul Malik supplicated for the stability, security, development, and economic prosperity of Nigeria.
“We are moving into another political dispensation. Our prayer is that this incoming administration would be better than the previous ones. Though nobody can finish the work of the country, but the person that almighty Allah chose for us has a wealth of experience in governance to lead us right,” he assured.
He prayed to Allah to grant the president-elect, Bola Tinubu good health, wisdom and the ability to assemble a quality team to work with him.
“Tinubu has good intentions for the country. I beg Allah to surround him with good people because so many wished to do good but due to the kind of people that surround them, things go wrong. May Almighty Allah put the love of Nigerians in their hearts.”
He prayed to Allah to strengthen the incoming administration to move the country to greater heights.
“The only way the country can be habitable for everyone is to have good leaders. We pray Allah to give our leaders the goodwill to lead us aright,” he said.
