The fourth biennial Congress of The African Church Lagos Province will officially commence on May 12, 2023 at the church premises at Ifako, Lagos at 5pm. Themed: “Let God Arise and Restore His Church” is taken from Gen 13:17; and Psalm 102:13. The Archbishop of Lagos Province, His Grace, Most Reverend Julius Ogunseye, will address journalists on national issues.
The opening service of the Congress will commence with Holy Communion with the host, Bishop of Ifako Diocese, Rt. Reverend Isaac Falana, as the celebrant, while the sermon will be delivered by the Lord Bishop of Warri Central Missionary Diocese, Rt. Reverend Best Agbolayah.

Chairman of the Congress Planning Committee and Bishop of the Lagos Central Diocese, Rt. Reverend (Dr.) Adekunle Dawodu, who implored all members to use the platform to propagate the gospel to all nations of the world, assured them that the event would reposition the province for greater exploits.
The plenary session, which holds on May 13, 2023, is expected to attract government functionaries and other dignitaries from all walks of life, including the clergy and laity members of the province. The event will climax with thanksgiving service and award ceremony on May 14, 2023 at The African Church Cathedral, Ifako, Lagos at 10am.
