Intending pilgrims to Jerusalem and Rome have been enjoined to pray for Nigeria, during their visit to the holy land. Making the appeal during the week at the Year 2016 Dedication Service for intending pilgrims, with the theme, ‘Moving in His Might,’ the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Adeola Hundeyin, who represented Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, also pleaded with the intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Lagos and Nigeria. “They should play by the rules, keep the code of ethics of the journey and make sure they are good ambassadors of the country, while there,” he said.
 
He reminded the pilgrims that they have no other country; so, its betterment should be of concern to them, when they are in the holy land.
 
“Lagos State is always setting the pace on issues, as we are usually proactive. So, I foresee no problem at all, as we have made adequate arrangement on both ends of the journey,” he explained, adding that about 700 pilgrims are going to be airlifted by the state.
 
While delivering his sermon during the service, Pastor of Living Rock Ministry, Rev. Moses Idris, told the intending pilgrims not to see their journey as a trip to shop or for site seeing, but to get closer to their Creator. According to him, the holy land is an opportunity to get uplifted in all aspects of life.
