The advertised rehabilitation of the ever-busy Egbe Bridge along Ikotun-Isolo Road began at the weekend.As the contractors got busy moving men and materials to site to complete repair works within the 10-day duration, pedestrians were seen yesterday using the road, which had been closed to the vehicles.
According to a traffic advisory released by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), traffic would be diverted due to the rehabilitation of expansion joint on the Ejigbo – Egbe bridge, commencing from the November 19 to November 29.
The public is advised to use the provided alternative routes: Ikotun-Idimu road through Isheri-Oshun road to Jakande gate; Ikotun-Idimu/Igando/Egbe road through Idimu Road to Ejigbo/NNPC Road; and Ikotun-Idimu /Igando/Egbe road through Idimu Road through Fadu Avenue (bad state) to Egbe Road (Iyana Ejigbo).
