Member that represented Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency of Ondo State in the recently dissolved 9th Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye has been adjudged by his colleagues as the best Deputy Chairman of Committees in the House.
Adefisoye, who is popularly known as Small Alhaji was given this commendation on Wednesday during the valedictory service of the 9th National Assembly that was presided over by Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. In his valedictory speech, Gbajabiamila reeled out numerous achievements of the house in the last four years. He also commended members of the 9th House of Representatives for their support and love that eventually made it possible for him to have achieved success while in the saddle as Speaker.
Gbajabiamila, however, assured that he would work in his new role as the Chief of Staff to the president to ensure cordial and productive relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government. He further assured that the needful would be done in his new role as CoS to respect the independence and prerogatives of the legislature.
When it was time for members to pass valedictory comments, the Chairman, House Committee on Army, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas commended members of the committee, but singled out Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, who was the Deputy Chairman of the Army Committee. He commended him for being innovative and committed to the Army Committee oversight assignments.
“I am glad that I worked with Small Alhaji as my Deputy Chairman in the Army Committee. He is a great guy that wasted no time to convince everyone of his smartness, brilliance, innovative skills and patriotic zeal to national duties. He was always up and doing throughout our time of oversight assignments. I truly found most of his suggestions and advice very useless. Let me tell you today that our much talked about great achievements in the Army Committee was a joint efforts. But it will be most unfair on my part if I fail to acknowledge the immense contributions of Hon. Adefisoye to our success story in the Army Committee’.
More so, Hon Jaha Ahmed also spoke glowingly on the outstanding performance of Hon. Adefisoye as the Deputy Chairman of Army Committee. Jaha commended Adefisoye for his demonstrated commitment, sacrifices and relentless efforts that eventually manifested in the improved welfare and better performance of Nigerian Army personnel.
“There is no doubt that Small Alhaji stands out as the best Deputy Chairman of our committees in the 9th Assembly. He is a highly calculative and proactive legislator. He was never short of great, productive and innovate ideas. It was commendable that he seamlessly worked and cooperated with the Chairman of Army Committee and this efforts yielded desired result which has led to improved performance and better delivery by our Nigerian”.
In the words of Hon. Abass Adigun, he described Adefisoye as the most outstanding Deputy Chairman in all the constituted Committees of the 9th Assembly. He further commended the youthful legislator for his displayed ability that has taken the Army Committee to a new height of success. He however underscored the dedication, commitment and patriotism of Adefisoye. He also commended Adefisoye for his commitment to constant research on how to bring the best performance out of Nigerian soldiers.
“This young man, Small Alhaji in my opinion is a blessing to our country. I can attest to his great efforts in the Army Committee where he served as the Deputy Chairman and he truly deserves a thumps up for his outstanding deliveries. Small Alhaji was never ashamed to ask questions and he is known for his insatiable quest to improve the welfare and professionalism of our soldiers. Hon. Adefisoye did extremely well and he can easily be adjudged as obviously the best Deputy Chairman of all our Committees in the 9th House of Representatives”.
However, Hon. Abubakar Nalaraba,
brought a new twist to his own valedictory comment with a suggestion that Adefisoye should be given a role in the cabinet of President Tinubu. He hinged his suggestion on the evident and convincing performance of Adefisoye in the Army and other Committees he belonged in the 9th Assembly.
