The campaign organization of the former governor of Imo State Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha, the rebuild imo group have called for the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party to move for the urgent dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC of the party for reasons they adduced in a press statement issued today through an affiliate group the critical stakeholders of Imo state PDP in Owerri the imo state Capital.
A copy of the press statement signed by the spokesperson of the group and the leader of the Rebuild Imo group in Oru West local government area Mr Kenneth Akunnakwe, accused the NWC of PDP of laxity in the handling of party Affairs, he also alleged that the mishandled the selection process of the vice presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2023 presidential election, they further accused them of mismanaging several governorship Primaries in many States, that led to serious crisis in many states.
The group accused the NWC of refusing to attend to several petitions accusing Senator Samuel Anyanwu of working to destroy the party in Imo. The group eulogised the seven officers of the party who recently dumped the party as workaholic, enterprising and cerebral, stating that more persons were likely to leave the party in the coming days.
Mr Akunnakwe who was an appointee in the ill-fated Ihedioha seven-month government in Imo state, then prayed the board of trustees as the conscience of the party to urgently call for an emergency national convention that will usher in a new national working committee of the PDP to save the party from death.
