Hip-hop legend, Snoop Dogg, has canceled upcoming shows at the Hollywood Bowl in solidarity with striking Hollywood actors and writers.
The canceled shows were meant to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Snoop Dogg’s debut album, “Doggystyle,” and were to be produced by rapper Dr. Dre. Ticket buyers for the Hollywood Bowl concerts will receive automatic refunds.

The decision comes as the Writers Guild of America is in an ongoing strike, and the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has also gone on strike over labor disputes with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).

Initially, Snoop Dogg had postponed the shows in June to support the striking writers, but due to the ongoing uncertainty of the strikes, he has now canceled them.
He expressed his support for the WGA and SAG/AFTRA unions and called for the AMPTP to come back to the negotiating table with a genuine proposal.
The strike by Hollywood actors and writers has led to nearly all film and television production being shut down. The actors are advocating for better pay, protection against the use of artificial intelligence, and improvements to health care and pension programs.
Snoop Dogg has been actively supporting the striking writers and sent a food truck to picketers outside Paramount Studios in June. Apart from his successful music career, he also has acting credits in various films.
