For the Chief Executive Officer of Adewale Art Gallery, Majekodumi Adewale Olakunmi, promoting and showcasing art at international level is of utmost priority.

In an interview with The Guardian, Olakunmi described arts as life. A talented, passionate and diligent artist, he disclosed his area of specialisation include, paintings, drawing and teaching arts.

He added some of his works to include, I must break forth, Resting mud, I have a dream and Health is wealth.

For his works, Olakunmi said he usually makes use of oil on straw board, oil on canvass and pastel chalk on paper.

Born on May 6, 1985 in Lagos Mainland, Olakunmi hails from Obafemi Owode in Ogun State.

He had his primary education at Fred Williams Primary School, Iju Station, Lagos and secondary education at Iju Grammar School, Lagos. He proceeded to Lagos State Polytechnic Ikorodu, Lagos, where he had his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma major in paintings.

He also attended National Teacher Institute Lagos for Post Graduate Diploma in Education.

He has won many awards and recognitions around the World. A member many art organisations around the world, he is also a member of Society of Nigeria Artist (SNA).
