Brethren, we all must understand that the world in which we live is a battlefield between the children of God, and the people of satan and their agents. The battle is principally fought at both the spiritual, and physical realms. This being the case, we, therefore, must be very cautious and not allow the devil, the enemy to overcome our faith. We must secure our victory through faith.

There are many compelling reasons for us to work by faith. Many people today are facing various challenges in life by reason of not working by faith. They prefer to work by sight, and other physical, and human characteristics. Unfortunately, many of such people call themselves Christians. We are not to work in such ways. For indeed, such are the ways of failure.

The children of Israel were victims of faithlessness. In the course of their battle for deliverance from king Pharaoh of Egypt, they journeyed through the wilderness. In the wilderness, there was famineand hunger, among other challenges. In the face of these challenges, the people began to murmur. They murmured against Moses and Aaron, questioning the rational, propriety of their leaving Egypt in the first instance —the exodus.

They insisted, and wished they were allowed to remain as servants to Pharaoh, and the Egyptians. According to them, at least they had cucumber, and onion at their disposal as food. They did not remember the miracles God did in the cause of their liberation. They did not remember the signs, and wonders God did in Egypt on their behalf, they refused to remember how God dealt decisively with Pharaoh and his armies.

They completely lost faith in God. The consequence of this was the wrath of God upon them. All those who participated in that murmuring did not enter the promised land, except Joshua and Caleb who manifested absolute faith in God. Both of them were rewarded accordingly with the promised land. Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey, Numbers chapter 14.

In the same vein today, many people have lost fortunes as a result of faithlessness in God. The more faithless we are, the more difficult it is for us to receive from God. Faith is the tonic we need to receive from God. If you supply God with faith, He will use it to work for you.

No matter the challenges, or difficulties you may be encountering now, have faith in God. He will surely see you through. There is no discuss about faith without mentioning Abraham, our father of faith. From the very day God called him to the end of working with God, he did not for one day doubt God. Gen.12v1-3 says: “Now the Lord had said unto Abraham, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house unto a land that l will shew thee. 2: And l will make of thee a great nation and l will bless thee and make thy name very great and thou shalt be a blessing.3: and l will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

The above account was how God called Abraham and he did not doubt, but whole heartedly obeyed and followed God. Verse 4 says: “Abraham departed as the Lord has spoken unto him…Abraham was seventy and five years when he departed out of Haran.”

As at this time, Abraham had no hope of a child, however, he believed God and began to answer father of many nations without having any child of his own loins. Gen.17v5 says: “Neither shall thy name be called Abram, but thy name shall be called Abraham, for a father of many nations have l made thee;” verse15: …As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her Sarai but Sarah shall be her name and she shall be mother of many nations. Kings of people shall be of her.” Faith is believing God for all he said or promised. Rom4v17 says: “God who quickens the dead and calls those things which be not as if though they were.”
Bible says there is no impossibility with him. Whatever he promises, He will surely bring it to pass. He gave Abraham, Isaac at a very old age. What are you passing through and you think that the world has crumbled upon you, do not worry, He that did it before, He will do it again.

You only need to trust him, have an unshakable faith in him, and he will bring it to pass. Lam3v37 says: “Who is he that saith and it cometh to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it.” God is the beginning and ending of our life, whatever he says, he has power to bring it to pass, so be rest assured that God who has done it in time past, will sustain you.

What ugly condition are you passing through? Look unto God, he is the author and finisher of our faith. Are you barren, sick, poor, down trodden, afflicted, etc, have faith in God and call upon him, He will surely intervene. Are you getting old, yet no marriage? Or you have sat for JAMB severally without success, or a graduate for many years without a job, etc, look up to God, call upon Him in faith, He will surely answer you. Remember, without faith, it is impossible to please God. People of the Bible days exercised great faith in God. By faith, many of them did exploits for God. Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Rahab, Noah, Gideon, etc, all these lived and died in faith.

The Bible says any thing done not in faith is sin. As a child of God, you are expected to have implicit faith in God, who has power to do all things. Note, God does not work with a faithless man/woman. Heb.11v6 says: “But without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.”No one has seen God physically, it is through faith we believe that God exists, that He created the universe and all that is in it. So, what are you passing through? Have faith that God will sure intervene and deliver you, give you victory and set you free from the bondage of the enemy.
