President Bola Tinubu, yesterday, met with former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and his Kaduna State counterpart, Nasir el-Rufai at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The two are ministerial nominees. But while Wike was screened and confirmed by the Senate, the legislative chamber did not confirm el-Rufai because of an alleged security report.
While Wike arrived at about 1:40 p.m., el-Rufai showed up as the presidential wing of Aso Rock at about 2:00 p.m. A Villa source hinted that efforts were ongoing to ensure the Senate confirms el-Rufai.
