The Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC), has commenced process towards the conduct of the 2024 Local Council Elections.

The Chairman of the NASIEC, Barrister Ayuba Wandai Usman, made the declaration in Lafia.

Barrister Wandai stated that as law-abiding institution, NASIEC has rolled out the timetable, rules and regulations in the conduct of the 2024 Local Government Council elections in the state.

Wandai declared that the chairmanship and councillorship elections would hold on Saturday August 31, 2024.

The state election empire urged all prospective stakeholders to keep to the rules and regulations in the conduct of the 2024 council election.

The last council election was conducted in October 2021. The tenure of the current council chairmen and councilors will end in October, 2024.
