Bury your hatchets, work with Tinubu, Imumolen tells Atiku, Obi

Professor Christopher Imumolen is the presidential candidate of Accord Party.

Presidential candidate of Accord Party in the 2023 general elections, Prof. Christopher Imumolen, has appealed to presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and his counterpart in the Labour Party, Peter Obi to bury their hatchets and work with President Bola Tinubu’s government for national interest.

He also called on the youths appointed by the present goverment to exhibit their creative talents by thinking outside the box and convince Nigerians that they have what it takes to turn things around positively.

Addressing journalists on Tuesday in Abuja, Imumolen said the youths are expected to deploy modern technology to address the country’s challenges.

Noting that all hands should be on deck for the president to succeed, he stated: “President Bola Tinubu has hearkened to the yearnings of the youths by appointing many younger people into his government.

“What Nigerians expect from the appointees if for them to exhibit their creative talents by thinking outside the box in order to convince Nigerians that the youths have what it takes to turn things around positively in the interest of the nation.

“The responsibility of creating a positive change now rests on their shoulder. They should not disappoint the youths who have been clamouring for youth’s Inclusiveness in the affairs of Nigeria. They must show Nigerians that they have what it takes to create a positive change in the social, economic and political landscape of the country.

“There are lots of challenges confronting Nigeria like the issues of insecurity, hunger, starvation and massive infrastructural deficit. The youths are expected to deploy technology, artificial intelligence among others to address the country’s challenges.

“Let us allow the president to work. Let us give him the opportunity to express himself. What we must focus on is that we should have a country that is our desire. For us and the Accord Party, we did not go to court because even if we lose out in the election, what is most important is that Nigeria should win.

“There is no perfect situation anywhere in the world. What every candidate who contested in the last presidential election should do now is to come together and see how we can make our country better. They are just speculations every part of the country are included in the Tinubu’s administration.

Affirming that he was the youngest presidential candidate in the last election, he said he joined the race to ensure that youth are included in the decision making process.

He added: “I was the youngest in that race. What I was trying to drive at is that youths have to be included because they carry the creativity, energy, exposure and the knowledge to drive our country to the next destination. The youth of this nation are tired of being used and dumped. They are tired of not being included in the political calculation of this country.

“If you see the appointment coming up now, 85 per cent of the appointments were given to the youths. It is very encouraging and I love it. That is what we are fighting for. If that is what we can achieve, believe me I can feel that I am the president of this country.

“We, the youths carry the technical knowledge to solve the country’s problems. We are the ones that have the strength deliver our country.”
