Obasanjo, Lagos gov for NICA’s 30th anniversary

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and captains of industry will on Wednesday, October 25, headline the National Institute of Credit Administration’s (NICA) 30th anniversary in a dinner/post-chartered business networking event in Lagos.

In a statement, the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Chris Onalo, said the event seeks to celebrate the statutory power, which the NICA Act No 26 of 2022 confers on it for control, supervision and regulation of credit management in Nigeria, and award of professional qualifications and certifications to qualified persons, in addition to enhancing, promoting and protecting interests of business credit providers/grantors across the economy.

The event, which would congregate prominent individuals within and outside the institute to engage in meaningful interactions, will share ideas about the body’s mandate and how the nation could speedily transit from a cash-based economy to a vibrant credit system.

The occasion also marks the first time members would be uniting to review and deliver on aims and objectives of the association’s founding fathers.
