Breast Cancer Awareness: Zumba holds ‘Dance out Cancer’ tomorrow
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and on October 28th, an exciting event is set to take place. A Zumba event with Dr. Blossom Maduafokwa of Blossom’s Fitness Hub in collaboration with Hard Rock Café, Lagos promises to be more than just a dance workout; it’s a movement to save lives and promote sound health.
The primary purpose of this Zumba session is to raise awareness about breast cancer and contribute to its prevention and early detection. Organized by Dr. Blossom of Blossom’s Fitness Hub and generously supported by sponsors like Hard Rock, Pepsi, Cepstar 7, and Pinktober, this event is more than just exercise—it’s a powerful initiative. The Zumba class itself promises a great, fun, and uplifting experience. It will be an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of exercise while contributing to a vital cause.
Hard Rock’s involvement in championing the Zumba aerobic session is a significant milestone for the event’s success. Giving back to the community is a core value of the Hard Rock Cafe brand, and their partnership with Dr. Blossom reflects their dedication to making a positive impact. The success of the Zumba session not only fosters a sense of joy and health but also translates into more lives saved from breast cancer.
This event will take place on Saturday, October 28th, at 8:00 AM, at Hard Rock Café, Landmark Center, Victoria Island, Lagos. The entry fee is N7,500 (early bird) and N10,000 (at the door). All the proceeds from ticket sales will go to C.O.P.E Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated to breast cancer prevention through awareness creation, delivery of free mammograms and provision of financial support for breast cancer management.
The Zumba session is a reminder that we are “Stronger Together” in the fight against breast cancer. By coming together to dance, exercise, and raise awareness, we can make a real difference. It’s not just about breaking a sweat; it’s about breaking down the barriers to early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
The success of last year’s Zumba session is a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants, sponsors, and organizers. As Hard Rock Cafe brand is already looking forward to doing it again this week, it’s clear that the event’s impact goes beyond a single day. It’s a movement that keeps growing.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of early detection, support, and solidarity. By participating in the Zumba session on the 28th of October, you’re not only investing in your health and happiness but also contributing to a cause that can save lives. So, mark your calendar and join the dance for a healthier, happier future. Together, we can make a difference.
