Sister Nonye Onyechi resides in FESTAC, Lagos. She became a full member of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries in 2003 and worshipped at FESTAC 1. In her testimony, she said, she came to the Lord’s Chosen with many problems, including pain in her breast, which before then made her visit different churches, but none was able to heal her.

According to her, one of the churches even placed her olive oil, which she drank to the point that each time she sat on a chair, the chair will be drenched of olive oil, yet the pain did not leave her.

It was at this point that her younger brother directed her to the Lord’s Chosen. As soon as she came into the church, the pain in her breast vanished. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!

Getting her miracle, she felt uncomfortable with the doctrines and teachings of the church in the areas “no makeup, no earring, no chain among others” and left to where she was comfortable with their messages.

However, a customer visited her shop and she gave her a handbill and the customer said to her: “Is like you want to serve God.” According to her, the customer said that anytime she comes to Sister Nonye’s shop that she (Sister Nonye) always give her one handbill or the other and that if she was serious to serve God that she should go to the Lord’s Chosen. After the encounter, Sister Nonye returned to the Lord’s Chosen. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!

She also testified how God delivered her from evil bat. She relocated to a new apartment, where evil bats visited often and terrorise the tenants and because of this, nobody was willing to live in the compound. She had just packed in and knew nothing about the ugly situation. But one day, one of her neighbours that had just moved out from the compound called to tell her of the evil bat. The lady told her that any day the bat would visit her; she would not be the same again. She in turn replied that the bat would on that day meet its end. A day came that one of her children drew her attention to something that was producing offensive odour in their flat. Lo and behold, it was the evil bat. It came to their flat, but could not enter, so, it hung on the louvers and died there. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!

In the same compound, the landlord cautioned Sister Nonye to stop praying or get a quit notice. Nonye said, she replied the landlord through the caretaker, how does the landlord know that she is always praying when she does not shout each time she prays? How could she be disturbing the landlord, especially when he does not live in the same compound with them? How could she be disturbing him? And concluded that she would not stop praying. Nonye told both the landlord and his caretaker to go and prepare their quit notice. So, the caretaker left and to date has not come to give her the feedback.

Sister Nonye also disclosed that there was a cat that does come to her flat and that each time it comes and cries, she and her children would be restless, to the extent that they will one after the other visit the doctor.

But on one fateful Thursday, she came to service and G.O said he would not want to hear that a Chosen member ran away from some witches and wizards and that witches and wizards are to run away from the Chosen ones. After service, she went home recharged and soaked her anointed handkerchief in water and prayed that God should turn the water to hot water. She also asked God to wake when the evil cat comes. Eventually, the cat came as usual and before it could open its mouth to cry, Sister Nonye poured the water on the cat; it screamed and ran away.

In the morning, the caretaker visited her and said the landlord informed him that she (Nonye) poured hot water on a neighbour. Sister Nonye said she did no such thing, so, he left, promising to come back after getting the true story of the matter from the landlord. In the evening of the same day, the landlord came himself and extended a handshake Sister Nonye, which she turned down.

Four days after, the man that the landlord claimed Sister Nonye poured hot water on died and that marked the end of frequent sicknesses for Sister Nonye and her children. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord! God of Chosen is so great indeed.
