Edo 2024: For fairness, it is Esanland’s turn to produce Obaseki’s successor — Monarch

Search for Governor Obaseki’s successor heats up in Edo State

The Otaru of Auchi Kingdom, Alhaji Aliru Momoh Ikelebe III, yesterday, commended a Labour Party guber aspirant, Kenneth Imansuangbon, saying he is a man of the people, who will get the support of the generality of Edolites as a result of his large heart and philanthropy in attending to the needs of the poor.

The monarch, who offered prayers for Imansuangbon, expressed support for an Edo Central Senatorial District candidate to succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki, in the forthcoming governorship election.

The monarch said it is only proper in the spirit of fairness, equity and justice for the zone to be supported.

Ikelebe III spoke in Auchi, Edo State, when Imansuangbon paid him a condolence visit on the death of Alhaji Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland and to also inform him about his governorship ambition.

The Otaru described Imansuangbon as a man of the people who will get the support of the generality of Edolites as a result of his large heart in attending to the needs of the people, especially through his rice sharing activities every year.

“Presently, I’m mourning my friend, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland. Ordinarily, I won’t receive anybody, but it is because you are the rice man I am giving you a private visit.

For fairness and justice, it is the turn of Esanland. All the traditional rulers are united on this.
