.As NUC, NMCN grant full accreditation to programme

Nursing students of Rhema University, Aba, Abia state, have posted excellent results in the just-concluded basic nursing exams conducted by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

According to the university, 32 of the 33 students that sat for the examination passed with only one referral in an undisclosed course.

“This feat came on the heels of the full accreditation recently granted to the university’s Nursing Science Programme by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN ), “ the university said.

Reacting to the results, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ogbonnaya Onwudike, while commending the students for making the university proud, stressed the need for the students to continue to work hard in view of the fact that they have more hurdles to cross in their journey to becoming qualified nurses and midwives, stressing that the university would stop at nothing in training its students to become well-qualified graduates for the global market.
